States and municipalities around the nation are taking action to reform marijuana laws, with Washington and Colorado legalizing the drug for recreational use. The tragic death of Elizabeth Kemble, however, has brought to light a potentially serious consequence of such reform – more people driving under the influence of marijuana. Kemble, a noted advocate for kidney health, was killed by a driver who admitted to smoking marijuana minutes before the crash.
