I represented a little 12-year-old girl who was walking home from school. She was at a very busy intersection that she had to cross to get home. That intersection had traffic signals that did not allow her enough time to get all the way across the street. As she was crossing appropriately, the light turned green for the traffic, and she was struck by a car. We were able to make a recovery against the car. In a case like that, we were also able to prove that the State Department of Transportation had really created a trap for pedestrians. We went to court with that case and made an appropriate recovery for that little girl who had suffered a brain injury.
