Question:
If I am unable to go back to work or make as much as I did prior to the injury, am I entitled to wage replacement?
Answer:
If you’ve been injured on the job, received medical care, and you’ve been out of work, you might be learning that you may not be able to return to work at all or at least doing the former work that you did. There are provisions in our workers’ compensation law that provide for permanent disability payments, and that’s when your case gets complex. If you don’t have an attorney by that point, I would encourage you to seek the counsel of an attorney because they can also tell you about other benefits you may be entitled to that coordinate with workers’ compensation benefits.
